Teguh Appreciates Central Jakarta Mayor Office's Waste Bank

Acting Jakarta Governor, Teguh Setyabudi appreciated the waste bank built at Central Jakarta Mayor Office.

Central Jakarta Mayor, Arifin said the appreciation was stated by Teguh during his visit to the waste bank, Tuesday (2/18).

He added that Teguh also appealed his side to encourage managements of office buildings, education facilities and residentials in Central Jakarta to build similar facility.

"He appreciated the waste bank facility here, and encourage the surrounding areas to build the same," he said.

Responding about this, Arifin admitted will invite the office buildinh management and all RW in the area to build waste bank.

Arifin explained that the waste bank in his office was built in 2015 with 87 active customers. They manage both organic and inorganic waste from the offices.

The organic waste processing process, Arifin continued, produces compost and liquid fertilizer products that are used for urban farming activities in the surrounding environment.

"Customers collect waste weekly to get up to Rp 200,000 revenue and holiday bonus in the end of year," he stated.
