Fire destroyed a house on Jalan Anggrek, RT 03/05, Petukangan Utara Urban Village, Pesanggrahan Sub-district, Monday (2/24) morning.
No casualties and fatalities in the incident
South Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-agency (Gulkarmat) Head, Syamsul Huda said he got fire report from residents who came to the fire station at 4.45 AM.
"We immediately deployed eight fire engines with a total of 24 firefighters to the scene," he expressed, Monday (2/24).

"This incident occurred due to an electricity short circuit. No casualties and fatalities in the incident," he explained.
One of the residents, Nasrullah (54), admitted the fire was first seen from the laundry area. Soon after, the flames spread to the workshop building right next to it.
"Personnel arrived quickly, and luckily the fire did not spread to other buildings," he admitted.
