Flood Victims Appreciate Jakarta Government's Quick Assistance

She said that ready-to-eat food and mineral water assistance had been provided since early morning for the needs of sahur meals.
"My house is flooded with a water level of about 80 centimeters. Right now, I am still evacuating with other residents at the SDN Kampung Melayu 01," she expressed, Monday (3/3).
South Jakarta Mayor Ensures Basic Assistance for Flood Survivors is MetSocial Rehabilitation Security Protection Section Head, Deni Triyanto explained the assistance was still focused on the needs for sahur meals this morning and breaking the fast later.
"However, there are also other basic needs that we have distributed," he explained.
According to him, 600 boxes of ready-to-eat food had been distributed to flood victims in Kampung Melayu and also 500 boxes to Bidara Cina.
Then also 500 boxes was sent to Cililitan, 1,000 boxes to Balekambang, 500 boxes to Cawang, and 300 boxes to Gedong.
"We prepared 800 boxes of rice and mineral water for breaking the fast for residents in Kampung Melayu," he continued.
He added other basic needs assistance that had been distributed in Kampung Melayu consisted of 20 sheets of adult blankets, 20 bales of adult diapers, and 60 bales of baby diapers.
"And also 10 bags of five kilogram packaged rice, 10 bags of cooking oil, 20 packs of biscuits, 10 bottles of sweet soy sauce, and 30 cans of sardines," he added.
Then flood victims in Bidara Cina had also been supplied with 20 bales of adult diapers, 20 bales of baby diapers, and blankets.
"We will add more according to the proposal from the urban village," he said.
