BPBD Targets Receding Flood in Quick Time as 62 RTs Remain Flooded

Several areas in Jakarta are still inundated, Tuesday (3/4) morning. The inundation is caused by high rainfall on the upstream area on Sunday (3/2) and Monday (3/3), and level 1 status of Katulampa Dam in Bogor, West Java.
BPBD has distributed assistances of food
Based on Jakarta BPBD data, 62 RTs and four roads up to Tuesday (3/4) at 9 AM were still inundated.
The impacted areas are;
East Jakarta Water Resource Sub-agency Deploys 20 Mobile Pumps- West Jakarta: 10 RTs, 30-90 cm height (Rawa Buaya, Kedoya Selatan, Kembangan Selatan).
- South Jakarta: 30 RTs, 30-330 cm height (Pondok Pinang, Pengadegan, Rawajati, Cilandak Timur, Pejaten Timur, Bintaro, Kebon Baru).
- East Jakarta; 22 RTs, 600-500 cm height (Bidara Cina, Cipinang Muara, Kampung Melayu, Bale Kambang, Cawag, Cililitan, Gedong).
The inundated roads are;
1. Jalan Basoka Raya, Joglo, West Jakarta (50 cm)
2. Jalan Strategu Raya, Joglo, West Jakarta (50 cm)
3. Jalan Puri Kembangan, Kedoya Selatan, West Jakarta (20 cm)
4. Jalan Puri Mutiara, Cilandak, South Jakarta (100 cm).
Then the receded area are 23 RTs in Kampung Melayu, 4 RTs in Tanjung Barat, 3 RTs in Lenteng Agung, and 2 RTs in Srengseng Sawah.
Jakarta BPBD Agency Head, Isnawa Adji, said 1,201 people are evacuated to schools, mosques, RPTRAs, and office-houses. The evacuation shelters are located in Kampung Melayu, Bidara Cina, Cawang, Pejaten Timur and Cilandak Timur.
"BPBD has distributed assistances of food, mineral water, blanket, family kits, and kidsware," he said, Tuesday (3/4).
Isnawa admitted Jakarta BPBD remains deploy personnel to monitor the inundation condition and to cooperate with Water Resources Agency, Bina Marga Agency, Fire Handling and Rescue
Agency to pump out the water and ensure water channels are functioned well together with urban village and sub-district heads."We're targeting to recede the water quickly. BPBD has distributed logistics for the evacuated people," he stated.
