East Jakarta Water Resource Sub-agency Deploys 20 Mobile Pumps

Santo explained the sub-agency has prepared 16 stationer pumps out of 87 available units and 27 mobile pumps.

"The pumps are in good condition," he explained.

According to him, all stationer pumps or pump houses in South Jakarta are already standby and guarded by two personnel.

He added that two teams of Quick Response Unit (URC) with two personnel each are also deployed.

"The mobile pump can be used as stationer pump if the water level is high," he continued.

As many as 20 floating pumps will also be involved to reach the locations that are difficult to be accessed by mobile pump.

"The pumps are ready to operate. But flood caused by the upstream water is difficult to be handled, especially in South Jakarta due to many overflowing rivers," he stated.
