It marks the beginning of a new chapter for the former Kampung Bayam residents who have long been waiting for a decent place to live.

"Today we make our promise come true with the keys hand over. It is a good thing for Kampung Bayam residents," Pramono said.

Pramono also conveyed his dream for advanced Jakarta. Including emphasizing the importance of continuing and preparing better infrastructure.

Pramono then appealed Jakpro Director, Iwan Takwin to develop urban farming at the flat with modern system and support from BUMD to buy the urban farming harvest.

"Local farmers here have already run the urban farming. We need to make the system modern in order to change the way they think," he added.

Pramono reminded to assist residents living around Jakarta International Stadium to develop and grow together.

"There are still problems. We'll find the best solution for all Jakarta residents. Since all problems can not be solved fully, we'll try our best to reach maximum effort," he continued.

PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro), as the Bayam Flat management, has decided the rent fee by Rp1.7 million per month for each unit. Flat occupants will get job priority at JIS to provide their income.

"We use MBR method. They will get salary according to Province Minimum Wage (UMP). Then their salary will automatically be deducted for the rent fee. It has been mutually agreed upon," Iwan Takwin, PT Jakpro Director explained.

Iwan added that occupants will also receive skills training and business opportunities according to their respective expertise. This step is one of the efforts to improve the standard of living and welfare of the occupants.

"Our target is Kampung Bayam residents are able to increase their welfare not only for today's generation, but also for the next generations," Iwan added.

Bayam Flat, which is part of the JIS area, was consteucted in 2022. This housing complex consists of three towers, namely Tower A containing 50 housing units (designated for residents of the former Kampung Bayam Madani), Tower B containing 35 housing units, and Tower C containing 50 housing units and 3 housing units specifically for the disabled.

The facilities are teacher room, two study rooms, a library, public toilets and disabled toilets. There is also a Green House to support urban farming activities.

Komar (60), one of the occupants, admitted happy with this. He hopes to be able to move as soon as possible after getting the keys.

"I can not wait to live there," he admitted.
