East Jakarta to Open the Folk Market

Welcoming Ramadan, the East Jakarta Cooperatives, Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises and Trade (KUMKMP) Sub-Department is about to open folk market as an effort to assist local people to get their daily commodity needs with affordable price.

The folk market will be opened on the courtyard of the Mayor office. While for its time, is still being discussed

“The folk market will be opened on the courtyard of the Mayor office. While for its time, is still being discussed,” said Head of East Jakarta Cooperatives, Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises and Trade Sub-Department, Arfian, Tuesday (6/9).

Arfian acknowledged, the market is designed in the form of a bazaar that provides various products from the small and medium enterprises (UMKM), as well as daily needs.

“Through this event, we're trying to involve the UMKM for marketing and promoting their product and assist people to get daily needs with low price,” he added.

Besides in mayor office, he furthered, similar event would also be opened in 10 sub-districts area all over East Jakarta. “In sub-district area, the event is being held alternately,” he disclosed.
