Jakarta Govt Ensures Firefighters Are on Full Alert Ahead of Eid 2025

The Jakarta Provincial Government ensured the readiness of firefighters during the Eid al-Fitr 1446 H/2025 holiday, including collective leave days.

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung emphasized the importance of maintaining safety and comfort for residents traveling for Eid. Therefore, he has instructed Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Agency and other related agencies not to take Work From Anywhere (WFA) during Eid holiday.

"I've instructed firefighters and officials responsible for the safety and comfort of homecomers who are on duty are not permitted to work remotely (WFA)," Pramono stated at Jakarta Gulkarmat Agency Office, Central Jakarta, Monday (3/24).

Pramono Appeals Firefighters to Increase Readiness

With the readiness of firefighters and security officers, he hopes that residents can travel for Eid peacefully and safely.

Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Agency Acting Head, Satriadi Gunawan mentioned that 170 fire posts in Jakarta will remain fully operational with no personnel taking leave.

"As the Governor said earlier, all 170 fire posts, none of them will be on leave. Everyone will be on call, ready," he conveyed.

Satriadi also urged residents to make sure their homes are safe before leaving for the holidays, such as by unplugging unused electrical appliances, notifying neighbors, and making sure gas stoves and regulators are securely turned off.

"We've already shared this information with the public," he added.
