City Disburses Social Assistance for 147,304 Recipients

Jakarta Provincial Government symbolically disbursed Social Assistance to Fulfill Basic Needs 2025 for elderly, early childhood, and people with disability at City Hall, Tuesday (3/25).

Jakarta Vice Governor, Rano Karno stated the social assistance disbursement is part of Jakarta Provincial Government's commitment in improving resident welfare.

As for information, 147,304 social assistance recipients are 117,784 Lansia Jakarta Card holders, 14,317 Penyandang Disabilitas Jakarta Card, and 15,203 Anak Jakarta Card holders.
Rano emphasized that resident welfare is the main foundation that must be strengthened in order to realize Jakarta as a global city. Basic needs are one of the main priorities in the 100-day work program of his government with the Governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung.
In addition to the symbolic handover of social assistance, his party also distributed physical aids as a result of collaboration with Baznas Bazis Jakarta.
"Social assistance Rp 300 thousand is given for three months. So they get Rp 900 thousand. The assistance will be distributed monthly starts April," Rano added.
Jakarta Social Agency Head, Premi Lasari explained the assistance distribution is based on the Governor's Decree (SK) Number 270/2025 about Recipients and Amount of Social Assistance to Fulfill Basic Needs for Early Childhood, the Elderly and the Disabled.
A total of 152,754 beneficiaries were recorded, with details of KAJ recipients by 17,289 children, KLJ recipients by 120,293 elderly people and KPDJ recipients by 15,172 people with disabilities.
The total number of beneficiaries are 147,304 people after matching and field verification, as well as data adjustment.
Premi added the number is higher compared to last year by 26.55 percent of KLJ, 20.46 percent of KPDJ, and 26.55 percent of KAJ.
Premi continued that the Governor's Decree made regarding Social Assistance also allows for the take out and take in process according to the stages of data development.
Her party has submitted data on 72,128 new social assistance recipients who have never received assistance by the end of May.
"We'll remain do take out and take in according to the data. The number of beneficiaries could be higher in September and November," she continued.
Premi admitted that 10 units of adult wheelchairs, children's wheelchairs, sensory cane units and 10 units of walking tripods were also given today.
According to Premi, her party has allocated similar assistance with a total of 3,640 units of physical aids for people with disabilities this year.
"The details are 140 children's wheelchairs, 2,000 adult wheelchairs, 1,265 hearing aids, 50 prosthetic legs, 107 three-legged canes and 78 walker canes," she stated.
