1,536 Homecoming Travelers Departed from Grogol Bus Terminal

There were 1,536 homecoming travelers have been departed to various destinations by using inter-province buses from Grogol Bus Terminal West Jakarta.

Grogol Bus Terminal Head, Bona Siregar said the passengers departed from the terminal was still dominated by destinations to West Java, Central Java, and East Java.

"For destination to Sumatera, mostly the passengers departed to Palembang," he said, Wednesday (3/26).

Siregar explained those 1,536 homecoming travelers departed from Grogol Bus Terminal were using 654 inter-province buses.

Siregar added that his side also has prepared health post, security post, and tent as waiting point to provide security and comfort, as well as anticipating the surge of passengers.

"We also run health check and urine test for bus crews. Ramp check by targeting more than eight inter-province buses are also held everyday. We must ensure that bus crews are in good health without alcohol and drugs, and their buses are roadworthy also," he explained.

Siregar predicted that the peak of homecoming traveling to occur on March 28 and 29, 2025 with total 800 passengers to depart everyday.
