Baznas Bazis Jakarta also provided four buses with 215 seats capacity, specifically for people with disabilities. He also urged travelers to enjoy their journey safely and orderly, as well as to maintain harmony while in their hometown.
"I just saw several buses earlier, including a bus for people with disabilities provided by Baznas Bazis; their condition is very good and very comfortable," he explained.
He also highlighted the issue of illegal levies that often occur during mudik. He emphasized, the Jakarta Government, in collaboration with the Polda Metro Jaya and the Prosecutor's Office, was committed to eradicating these illegal practices and urged the public to report any instances of them.
"Report any illegal levies through the Jakarta Government's application, such as the illegal levy complaint information system application or through the anti-levy unit at each available post," he explained.
He asserted that Jakarta is open to anyone who wants to try their luck, but they must have skills and clear identification. Hence, the Population and Civil Registration Agency would conduct administrative data collection on incoming residents.
Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Head, Syafrin Liputo reported that this year, there were 552 buses to transport 26,392 travelers to 20 cities in six provinces.
The purpose of this free mudik trips is to Bandar Lampung, Palembang, Tasikmalaya, Kuningan, Tegal, Pekalongan, Semarang, Kebumen, Cilacap, Purwokerto, Solo, Wonogiri, Wonosobo, Sragen, Yogyakarta, Madiun, Kediri, Jombang, Malang, and Sidoarjo.
"We report based on the verification results that the total number of participants returning to Jakarta in 2025 has increased by 11 percent from the initial target, reaching 26,392," he added.
The number of participants departing for the mudik today was 15,049 passengers, which represents an increase of eight percent from the target of 13,932 participants. Meanwhile, for the return trip, a total of 11,343 participants were dispatched, which is a 15 percent increase from the target of 9,847 participants.
"All vehicles, both trucks and buses, have undergone safety inspections and roadworthiness assessments," he closed.
