Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung held a meeting with the Transportation Minister, Dudy Purwagandhi, to discuss preparations for Mudik (exodus) transportation, at Jakarta City Hall, Monday (3/3).
We fully support
Pramono stated the Jakarta Government fully supports preparations for Idulfitri Mudik 2025, including the work-from-anywhere (WFA) policy for State Civil Apparatus (ASN) which will be applied on March 24.
"We fully support the preparations for the upcoming Idulfitri Mudik, including the WFA policy which will be applied on March 24," he expressed, Monday (3/3).
Government Declares Ramadhan Starts on March 1, 2025With WFA, he hoped that Jakarta residents to have more flexible mudik time options.
"Even, he also coordinated with the Ministry of Transportation to provide a free mudik trip with more than 520 bus fleets," he explained.
One of the issues of concern was the high number of newcomers after Idulfitri. He realized that Jakarta is always an attraction for job seekers. Therefore, his party would make anticipatory efforts in a bid to prevent problems in the future.
"Jakarta always has a problem with newcomers, maybe the number will be more. That's why we will anticipate from the beginning," he explained.
Nevertheless, Jakarta would remain open to all people. However, he urged newcomers also understand that it is not easy to find work in Jakarta.
"Jakarta under my leadership will definitely be open, friendlier, but also with firmness. We haven't formulated it yet because we will have a meeting about it tomorrow," he asserted.
Transportation Minister, Dudy Purwagandhi uttered that the number of travelers from Jakarta was quite high. Hence, synergy and collaboration between the central and regional governments were needed so that the implementation of the Mudik 2025 transportation would be successful.
He hoped that the WFA policy could help spread the number of travelers which is able to parse traffic jams during the mudik. Even, his party would also maximize the use of free mudik buses so that there are no empty seats due to double bookings.
Thereby, he would also introduce an application to double check travelers who register for the free mudik bus.
"We will introduce an application for the organizers, thus it can be made for double checks from travelers who make reservations. This is what we coordinate, we synchronize so that there is no double booking," he explained.
As for Idulfitri tickets, reservations can be made since March 1 for departures from March 24 to April 7 via the travel agent application.
