Jakarta’s Health Posts Set to Support Homecoming Travelers

Jakarta Health Agency has set up health posts at strategic locations, such as terminals and stations, to assist travelers who are going on homecoming trips. 

"With this health post, we hope homecoming travelers can feel safer and more comfortable during their journey,"

One of the health posts is located at Gambir Station, Central Jakarta, which is staffed by Tanah Abang Health Center team. This post is operating from March 28 to 31, 2025, with two shifts a day.

"We are from Tanah Abang Health Center assigned to health post at Gambir Station from March 28 to 31. There are two shifts: from 7 AM to 2 PM and from 2 PM to 9 PM," said Guswendy W. Wibowo, a general practitioner from Tanah Abang Health Center when met at Gambir Station, on Saturday (3/29).

He explained that each shifts will be staffed by three medical personnel to assist with health checks for travelers every day. In the evening, health services will be continued by a team from Regional Health Crisis and Emergency Center (PK3D).

This health post provides free daily medications for homecomers experiencing coughs, colds, nausea, and other common complaints. Additionally, he urged travelers to maintain their health by drinking plenty of water and taking vitamins during their trip.

"We encourage people to stay healthy by drinking enough water and taking vitamins," he asserted.

In collaboration with Central Jakarta PMI, the health post is equipped with doctors, nurses, and ambulance drivers who are ready to provide assistance.

"With this health post, we hope homecoming travelers can feel safer and more comfortable during their journey," he expressed.
