"The current situation shows an increase in passengers compared to regular days. There’s been a rise in the number of passengers, and this is expected to continue increasing," he reported.

According to him, the surge in passengers number is expected today and tomorrow, Saturday (3/29), with homecomers arriving at their hometowns before the start of Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri.

"We anticipate that today will be the peak since tomorrow will be closer to Eid. It could reach 3,000 passengers," he added.

Most of the homecomers departed from Kampung Rambutan Terminal headed to destinations in Palembang and Padang.

He also conveyed that Kampung Rambutan Terminal has prepared for the surge in passengers by setting up security posts with TNI and Police. Additionally, waiting areas and seating have been arranged to accommodate the travelers.

"We have also set up health posts for both drivers and passengers to ensure they can be assisted if needed," he explained.

Azroza urged homecomers to stay alert and be careful, as well as to prepare both mentally and physically for the long journey ahead.

"Some passengers have received treatment, mainly for dizziness and fatigue, and we’re able to handle it," he concluded.
