Simultaneous Planting of Red Onions in Cipayung Held in 15 Locations

The simultaneous planting of red onions in Cipayung District, East Jakarta was held in 15 locations. It is predicted that the harvest can be held in the next three months.

50 kilograms of red onion

Cipayung District Head, Panangaran Ritonga said today's planting was also participated by local Muspika, KPKP Sun-agency, PKK cadres, PPSU, and residents.

"There were 50 kilograms of red onion seeds and NPK fertilizer prepared for today's planting," he said, Tuesday (4/22).

Simultaneous Harvest in S. Jakarta Produces 1.25 Tons of Shallots

He added that the simultaneous planting of red onion is part of food security effort since it is needed much by residents.

"We'll plant 500 corns next week. Hopefully the residents will also get benefit from this program," he added.

Cipayung Sector Police Chief, Police Commissioner Dwi Susanto ensured will support the food security program.

"We're ready to cooperate with all stakeholders in Cipayung District," he stated.

Meanwhile, Cipayung Districts KPKP Implementer Unit Head, Nur Hikmah explained the planting was also run in Bambu Hitam Reservoir, RPTRA Garuda Cilangkap, and RPTRA Payung Tunas Teratai.

"The seeds were directly sent from Brebes, Central Java. The harvest is predicted to reach 200 kilograms," she explained.
