The rooftop of North Jakarta Mayor's Office became one of the locations where simultaneous Great Harvest took place today, led by Jakarta Vice Governor Rano Karno in a hybrid format.

A total of 10 kilograms of chili, 5 kilograms of tomatoes, 30 kilograms of aloe vera, 5 kilograms of eggplant, as well as 10 kilograms of tilapia, 15 kilograms of catfish, and 50 kilograms of meat rabbits were harvested from the Rooftop Walkot Farm.
Simultaneous Harvest in West Jakarta Produces Hundreds of Kilogram of Vegetable and FishNorth Jakarta Secretary, Abdul Khalid mentioned, today's Great Harvest in North Jakarta involved 56 urban farming locations and 31 urban villages.
"Alhamdulillah, today we can hold the Great Harvest at Rooftop Walkot Farm, by harvesting agricultural, fisheries, and livestock commodities," he conveyed on Wednesday (3/19).
According to him, the yields will be distributed to locations in need, coordinated by the North Jakarta TP PKK.
"Hopefully, today's harvest will benefit the community,
help maintain food security, and provide nutritional fulfillment for families," he expressed.Khalid further explained that the Great Harvest is part of an effort to support the Jakarta Governor's 100-Day Work Program, particularly in controlling food price inflation during Ramadan and ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri.
"We also want to ensure a stable food supply and prices, especially in North Jakarta," he stated.
On the other hand, North Jakarta Food Security, Marine, and Agriculture Sub-agency Head, Unang Rustanto said that the simultaneous Great Harvest in North Jakarta involved PKK cadres, RPTRA and public housing administrators, urban farmers, karang taruna, and local residents.
"Overall, today's harvest in Jakarta took place on an area of 4,218 square meters," he added.
He noted that the agricultural commodities in North Jakarta reached 690 kilograms, including bok choy, mustard greens, eggplant, tomatoes, water spinach, spinach, chili, melon, passion fruit, and others.
Meanwhile, the fisheries harvest reached 286 kilograms, consisting of catfish, tilapia, and snapper. In addition, there were 50 meat rabbits harvested.
"This harvest proves that urban farming can still be conducted in North Jakarta and actively supported by residents in maintaining food security. We will continue to promote urban farming," he explained.
