City Council Supports Jakarta Provincial Government Controlling Illegal Parking

Jakarta City Council's Commission B Member, Francine Widjojo supports Jakarta Provincial Government to control illegal parking.
The inactive TPEs are 137 units out of 201 units
She also highlighted many Electronic Parking Terminal (TPE) are not functioning.
Pramono Ensures to Control Illegal Parking"The inactive TPEs are 137 units out of 201 units, or about 68.1 percent," she said, Friday (5/24).
She once parked her vehicle on Jalan Sabang, near City Council Building, and the local parking attendant did not ask to use TPE machine.
"There are TPE machines in Sabang, but I have never been asked to use it. The parking attendants even tried to increase the rate by changing parking duration around 1-2 hours longer," she admitted.
She added that parking rate then was adjusted after she gave photo of her car included with the time it was taken.
Francine stated that Jakarta Transportation Agency must give strict sanction to parking attendants who charge inappropriate rates.
Previously, Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung ensured to control illegal parking in Jakarta, including in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.
