Joint Officers Crack Down on Illegal Parking at Tanah Abang Market

Joint officers from the Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency, police, and army took action against illegal parking around Block G of Tanah Abang Market, Tuesday (4/15).

Tanah Abang Sub-district Transportation Executing Unit Acting Head, Firdaus said 21 personnel involved in this operation took preventive action by putting traffic cones along the road designated as a parking area for motor vehicles.

"Our officers emphasized persuasive actions in the form of appeals to visitors who are going shopping to park their vehicles inside the shopping building," he expressed.

21 Vehicles Netted During Lintas Jaya Operation

As a result, they cracked down on six motorbikes parked on the sidewalk. These vehicles were then transported to the Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency office.

"No ticketing, but only a warning given to the vehicle owner and a statement letter made not to repeat the same thing," he stated.
