White Troops Mobilized to Optimize Health Services in South Jakarta

South Jakarta Health Sub-agency has deployed White Troops to several designated places to provide optimal health services to residents.

"... improve accessibility and expand the reach of health services for residents requiring special care,"

South Jakarta Health Sub-agency Head, Yudi Dimyati, stated that the White Troops will operate using home service method by directly visiting residents' homes.

"White Troop service has already been provided to residents in Cikoko, Pancoran, Jagakarsa, and Cipedak Urban Villages," he informed, on Tuesday (4/29).

He conveyed that White Troops are expected to ease access to healthcare for ill residents, especially  elderly and people with disabilities.

"White Troops in South Jakarta also represent our concrete step in supporting the realization of the Governor and Vice Governor's 100-day work programs," he added.

Yudi explained that the White Troops home service targets residents aged 18 and above with severe dependency or other conditions, with the main requirements that they are registered Jakarta residents (holding Jakarta ID card), have a family member or companion, and meet dependency criteria based on assessment of daily living activities.

"We hope the White Troops can improve accessibility and expand the reach of health services for residents requiring special care, especially those with mobility limitations," he mentioned.

Meanwhile, Cikoko Urban Village head, Fadhilah Nursehati, appreciated the breakthrough by the South Jakarta Health Sub-agency as it helps prevent neglect and enhances protection for residents needing special care or assistance.

"I see that they give excellent service to our residents. They are treated well, just as if they had come directly to the health facility," she uttered.

She expressed her happiness that this service also involves local community leaders, such as Dasawisma cadres, RW and RT, as well as the local government.

"Hopefully, this service will continue to run well, ensuring better health assurance for the residents," she said.
