Central Jakarta Mayor Arifin Rides a Bike to His Office

Central Jakarta Mayor, Arifin, rode a bicycle from the official residence on Jalan Sunda Kelapa Park, Menteng, to the mayor's office on Jalan Tanah Abang 1, Gambir, Wednesday morning (4/30).

I arrived at the office at 7:45 AM

While the Central Jakarta Acting Deputy Mayor, Iqbal Akbaruddin, took Jaklingko 04 and Transjakarta from his home on Jalan Percetakan Negara, Paseban to the office.

Central Jakarta Mayor, Arifin expressed he rode his bicycle to the mayor's office along Jalan Taman Sunda Kelapa, Imam Bonjol, to Bundaran HI, then turned back along Jalan MH Thamrin to Horse Statue, continued to Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, and then turned left towards his workplace.

South Jakarta Mayor Takes Public Transportation to His Office

"I arrived at the office at 7:45 AM. There are still 10 to 15 minutes left before the workday begins," he expressed.

He assessed that Governor's Call Number 6/2025 on the use of public transportation for civil servants every Wednesday has a positive effect on him, as it allows him to exercise.

"This also impacts the decrease in the number of motor vehicles on the road, thereby improving air quality," he added.

Central Jakarta Acting Deputy Mayor, Iqbal Albaruddin admitted that from his residence, he took the JakLingko 04 public transport to the UI Salemba Bus Stop, then transferred to Transjakarta until the Monas Bus Stop.

"From Monas Bus Stop, I walk to the office because the distance is not too far," he stated.
