Civil Servants to Take Public Transportation every Wednesday, Pramono Says

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung is about to implement new regulation for all Jakarta civil servants. He appealed all civil servants to take public transportation every Wednesday.

The regulation that is managed under the Governor Decree has been signed by the governor. Jakarta Provincial Government will not provide any of official vehicles on that day.

"We have signed the Governor Decree that manages all civil servants to take public transportation every Wednesday. There will be no official vehicles on that day," Pramono said, Thursday (4/24).

Again, Transjakarta Offers Special Fare of Rp 1 Today

In order to support the policy, Pramono added, civil servants are able to use public transportation for free.

According to him, about 91 percent of Jakarta areas have been connected with public transportation. JakLingko program to be widened to the supporting areas in order to improve the services. It will be also completed with parking area.

"We are preparinb JakLingko to operate outside Jakarta areas to ease community accessing public transportation," Pramono stated.
