Jakarta City Council Commission D Member, Pantas Nainggolan encourages the acceleration of utility network arrangement in the city.
City's aesthetics can be realized
He said that Jakarta Provincial Government is focusing on moving the optical cable network underground. His party is also encouraging the acceleration of the relocation of the Extra High Voltage Air Duct (SUTET) network underground to support the city's aesthetics.
"City's aesthetics can be realized if the process runs smoothly. At this moment, Jakpro successfully constructs underground network along 24 km in several areas," he said, Wednesday (4/30).

That is why Jakarta Provincial Government plans to build a shared pole that will be managed by PT Jakpro.
"As the example, there are 300 poles in an area this time. With this shared pole, there should be only 27 poles," he added.
He hopes the utility network arrangement will not only improve the aesthetics and comfort of the city, but also minimize the risk of disruption to the community and increase regional income potential.
"Final goal is to create aesthetics, security, comfort, and increase regional income. It means Jakarta Provincial Government can provide more programs that give benefit for residents," he stated.
