Governor Pramono Inaugurates 59 High-Level Officials

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung and his deputy Rano Karno, inaugurated 59 officials under the Jakarta Government, including mayors, regents, and heads of agencies.

As for the inauguration of two other posts, namely the Head of Water Resources Agency (SDA) and Head of the Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD), had to be postponed and remains in the status of acting heads.

"Together with Mr. Rano, we extend our congratulations and best wishes to those who were newly appointed today," Pramono expressed, at Great Hall, Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday (5/7).

He assured that he would appoint the two positions after June 1, 2025. This is following the rules and requirements for the applicable echelon promotions.

"The two positions must wait until June 1. Because there are rules for the promotion, it can be done on April 1 or June 1. Hence, they will be appointed after the requirements are met after June 1," he explained.

He hoped that the appointed officials could work more seriously in addressing the desires and challenges of the people of Jakarta. He continued, most of the 100-day quick win programs that were previously announced have been realized.

Two programs that are still in the process of completion are the operation of the Regional Spatial Planning (RTRW) and the installation of CCTV.

Regarding CCTV, the Jakarta Government would open opportunities for CCTV industry actora to participate. They want to utilize the existing infrastructure to be more cost-efficient.

In the near future, he would realize the unfinished programs, including the RTRW operations, the arrangement of the Kali Jodo area, and the construction of three combined parks in Blok M. He also promised to promptly complete the repairs of the Pedestrian Bridge (JPO) that had attracted public attention.

"We also discussed it earlier, including the relocation of the statue and the creation of a diorama at the statue that will connect with the MRT at Monas," he added.

He conveyed that this position is a mandate that demands integrity, competence, and innovation in a bid to achieve the planned programs. They were selected carefully, listening to aspirations to realize the hopes of Jakarta's residents.

He also wanted them to be confident in making decisions for a better Jakarta.

"You all must work seriously, earnestly, and deliver the best results for Jakartans," he stated.
