TJ Ridership Surges Following Implementation of Ingub No. 6/2025

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung conveyed that the policy mandating civil servants (ASNs) to use public transportation every Wednesday as outlined in Governor's Instruction No. 6/2025 on The Use of Mass Public Transportation for Employees within the Jakarta Provincial Government, has successfully increased ridership.

"Therefore, we will continue this every Wednesday,"

Based on evaluations and reports from Transjakarta President Director, it was recorded that the number of Transjakarta users increased by up to 100,000.

"When we asked ASNs to use public transportation on Wednesdays, Transjakarta ridership rose from 1.3 to 1.4 million, meaning there was an increase of 100,000," mentioned Pramono at Transjakarta Cawang Sentral Bus Stop on Thursday (5/15).

He revealed that the number of ASNs in Jakarta and its surroundings currently reaches 62,000 people. This policy is also considered to encourage ASN's families to use public transportation, thereby contributing to the reduction of private vehicles and traffic congestion.

He affirmed that the policy will continue to be implemented and expressed optimism that, with good planning, especially with the opening of new routes, it will be increasingly effective in reducing traffic congestion in Jakarta.

"Therefore, we will continue this every Wednesday," he stated.

The obligation for ASNs to use public transportation every Wednesdays is based on Governor's Instruction No. 6/2025. To implement this regulation, Governor Pramono also uses public transportation in carrying out his work every Wednesday.
