Jakarta Government Ready to Support International Coffee Exhibition in Jakarta

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung emphasized that the Jakarta Provincial Government is ready to support national and international coffee exhibitions in Jakarta.

"I f possible, the Jakarta Government should be fully involved in providing support,"

Therefore, he hopes that exhibitions like World of Coffee Jakarta can be held several times a year.

"Today, I am grateful to see the World of Coffee firsthand. In my opinion, it's something unexpected," he expressed during his visit to the World of Coffee exhibition at Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Gelora Urban Village, Tanah Abang Sub-district, Central Jakarta, on Saturday (5/17).

According to him, the event, which ran from Thursday (5/15) to Saturday (5/17) and involved about 400 coffee industry players, has attracted a lot of visitors, especially coffee enthusiasts.

"I am also a coffee lover, and in one day, I can consume four to five cups of coffee," he shared.

Pram mentioned that the coffee business has seen significant growth recently, which has had a substantial impact on the nation economy.

For this reason, Pram highly appreciates the exhibition, which is the first of its kind held in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. In addition, he also urged the organizers to hold such exhibitions multiple times a year.

Pram assurred that the city government would provide full support. He further explained that the city could assist with matters such as ease of permits, access and taxation.

"I've mentioned that if possible, the Jakarta Government should be fully involved in providing support. Ideally, this shouldn't be just once a year, or it should not stop here," he stated.
