As many as 500 job vacancies are prepared during the job fair held at Matraman Sports Hall, East Jakarta, Wednesday (5/21).

Matraman District Head, Muhammad Husnul Fauji, said three private companies involved in the event are mining, services and restaurants. There is also one workforce training institution.

"Vacancies are available for the positions of security officer, driver, sales on board, office boy, booking staff, western cook, back office, front liner, and sales and office support.

He added that more than 250 local residents came to the sports hall to apply a job.

"If the administrative requirements are met, applicants will be summoned for an interview until the next stage of selection," he added.

Meanwhile, Tazkiah Adha (19), one of jobseekers, admitted the program helps her much since the location is near with her house.

"I just graduated from school. Although I don't have any work experience, I am optimistic that I can get a job here," she admitted.
