Achieving WTP Since 2017, Pramono Highlights the City's Consistent and Sustainable Financial Management

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung praised the city government for securing its eighth straight Unqualified Opinion (WTP) on the 2024 financial report, continuing a streak since 2017.

"Alhamdulillah, BPK RI has once again granted the WTP opinion for the Jakarta Provincial Government's 2024 financial report," he conveyed during the plenary session for the Submission of the Audit Report (LHP) by BPK RI at Jakarta Council (DPRD) Building, on Monday (5/26).

He extended his gratitude to Jakarta Council for good collaboration in carrying out legislative function. According to him, this achievement reflects the quality of regional financial management in consistent and sustainable manner.

City Submits 2024 Financial Report to BPK

"Thank you also to BPK RI for the objective guidance and audit," he expressed.

He affirmed that this WTP opinion represents the Jakarta Provincial Government's commitment to the public and all stakeholders as a tangible manifestation of transparent, accountable, and responsible financial management for the advancement of Jakarta and collective prosperity.

He also extended his appreciation to all ranks within the Jakarta Provincial Government who will follow up on various findings and recommendations from BPK RI, which must be addressed within the next 60 days.

In order to strengthen financial governance, Pramono outlined seven strategic steps currently being implemented by the city government:

1. Strengthening the Regional Government Information System (SIPD) for financial management and reporting.

2. Developing an electronic inventory information system. 

 

3. Certifying land in collaboration with the National Land Agency (BPN).

  

4. Collecting and managing social and public facility (fasos fasum) assets.  

5. Enhancing internal control systems by heads of regional units with support from the Inspectorate.  

6. Conducting risk-based financial report reviews by the Inspectorate.

  

7. Accelerating follow-up on audit findings from BPK RI.

Pramono emphasized that the prudent financial management is a crucial foundation for realizing Jakarta as an advanced, competitive, and sustainable city, both nationally and globally.

"I hope this achievement sparks greater motivation to continuously improve regional asset and financial management," he mentioned.

He hopes the synergy between the city government and BPK RI will continue to realize an effective governance that directly benefits the public.

"Strengthening the synergy is essential to support Jakarta's transformation as the center of national economy and global city," he asserted.
