Hendra added that the aid from Baznas Bazis was given in the form of Rp 5 million compensation and two house renovation assistance. Then also from BPJS Ketenagakerjaan in form of Rp 42 million compensation, as well as death insurance and scholarship compensation worth Rp 147 million.
Hendra also reminded residents to be aware of all potential fires such as from stove or gas and short circuits.
"Please unplug your cellphone charger cable after use. We think it's a normal thing, but it can cause fires," he added.
Meanwhile, one of the fire survivors, Muhammad Ichsanul Azzam thanked North Jakarta Administration, Baznas Bazis, and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan for providing the aid.
"The fire occurred on May 8 at 3:30 AM. It was allegedly caused by gas stove leaking," he admitted.
He lost his father, mother, and older sister because of this disaster.
"Thanks to the government. Now I live only with my younger brother," he added.
