Ahead of Eid al-Adha 1446 H, Passengers at Gambir and Pasar Senen Stations Increase

PT Kereta Api Indonesia Daop 1 Jakarta recorded a significant in passenger volume during June 4-9, 2025 or ahead of the joint leave holiday of Eid al-Adha 1446 H.

According to the temporary data, as many as 139,513 people have booked their tickets to depart from several stations in Jakarta.

KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relation Manager, Ixfan Hendriwintoko said the increase of passenger is an annual trend that occurs during national holidays.

"Public use joint leave holiday for a trip to family or tourism sites. Mostly the increase occurs at Gambir and Pasar Senen Stations," he said, Wednesday (6/4).

Of total 139,513 people booking tickets, mostly came from Pasar Senen Station by 62,538 people, Gambir Station by 40,854 people, Bekasi Station by 16,929 people, Cikarang Station by 7,724 people, Jatinegara Station by 6,678 people, Cikampek Station by 2,554 people, and Karawang Station by 2,236 people.

Ixfan explained that the favorite departure day is Thursday, June 5, 2025 with 40,396 people and Wednesday, June 4, 2025 with 35,372 people. According to him, this number can still change along with ongoing ticket sales.

Ixfan added that the total number of people departing today (4/6) was recorded as 35,372 people, with details of Gambir Station by 10,763 people, Pasar Senen Station 15,377 people, and other stations in the Daop 1 Jakarta area by 9,230 customers.

Moreover, KAI will also operate additional train starting June 5 to 10, 2025 with seven to nine trips per day.

Today, KAI Daop 1 Jakarta operates a total of 64 Long Distance Train (KAJJ) trips, consisting of 34 trips from Gambir Station and 30 trips from Pasar Senen Station.

"We appeal the customers to come to the station earlier, obey the officer's direction, and use Access by KAI application to monitor real-time trip information," he stated.
