City Council Prepares Events to Enliven Jakarta Anniversary

Jakarta City Council Chairman, Khoirudin explained the events will be started with morning walk by all City Council members on Sunday, June 15, 2025. This will be held at Car Free Day area of Sudirman-Thamrin.

Khoirudin said, on that occasion, the council members will go down directly to greet the residents of Jakarta. Not only that, he continued, the Jakarta City Council will also hold a DPRD Berselawat event on Friday, June 20, 2025.

"This event will be participated by all Jakarta City Council members," he said, Wednesday (6/4).

He added that this year's Jakarta anniversary celebration felt more special because Jakarta was approaching its fifth century. Although implemented with the principle of efficiency, Jakarta City Council still tried to ensure that this celebration did not lose its meaning.

Meanwhile, Khoirudin appreciates Jakarta Provincial Government under Governor Pramono Anung and Vice Governor Rano Karno. He assessed that the expansion program for the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) and the Jakarta Superior Student Card (KJMU) is real concern for the education of citizens.

As the peak of the event, the Jakarta City Council will hold a Special Plenary Meeting to commemorate the Jakarta's 498th Anniversary on Sunday, June 22, 2025.

"On Jakarta's anniversary, all City Council members will be present to attend the Plenary Meeting to commemorate the Anniversary of the City of Jakarta," said Khoirudin.
