Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung officially launched Jakarta Great Sale (JGS) 2025 at Lippo Mall Nusantara, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman Kav 50, South Jakarta, Tuesday (6/10).

Pramono is optimistic that the transaction target of Rp 15.5 trillion in this event will be achieved considering that the existing facilities are now more complete, coinciding with the momentum of the holiday, and the celebration of Jakarta's anniversary. The event is also considered to have a significant impact on Jakarta's economy.

"Hopefully this year's Jakarta Great Sale is able to reach target Rp 15.5 trillion," said Pramono.

Pramono appealed that the event to be extended if public interest is very high. An encouragement is needed for the economy continues to grow. It is also expected that Jakarta Great Sale event to be a catalyst to increase Jakarta's revenue.

Jakarta Dekranasda Chairwoman, Hani Pramono Anung explained the Jakarta Great Sale Festival is an event to boost the retail industry and enliven shopping centers.

She added that the event also presents a strategic space to boost the city's economic and empower local business, especially artisans fostered by Jakarta Dekranasda.

This year's Jakarta Great Sale Festival carries three main objectives. Namely increasing visits to shopping centers in Jakarta, encouraging increased retail sales in both the fashion and food and beverage sectors, and reviving the value of Jakarta's arts and culture while making this festival a shopping celebration rich in cultural meaning.

"We are proud and grateful that 168 artisans fostered by Dekranasda participated in this event that spread across six shopping centers," she explained.

The local MSMEs is expected to enrich shopping options that introduce wider superior local products from Jakarta.
