The Jakarta Future Festival 2025 is a strategic initiative to strengthen public participation in the regional development planning process, while also gathering innovative ideas or concepts from various elements of society for the future of Jakarta.
This festival becomes an open platform for the community, especially Generation Z and Alpha, to actively engage in shaping the development direction of Jakarta as a progressive, just, competitive, sustainable, and adaptive global city in the face of future challenges.

Jakarta Bappeda Head, Atika Nur Rahmania said, Jakarta Future Festival 2025: Collaborate to Elevate! is not just a forum for disseminating five-year development plans, but also a milestone towards the celebration of Jakarta's 500th anniversary, as well as part of the effort to realize the city's vision as one of the Top 20 Global Cities.
"May this be a space for celebration and collective reflection on the future direction of Jakarta," she expressed, Wednesday (6/11).
She explained the inclusive spirit is at the core of the Jakarta Future Festival 2025. It reaches all elements of the city, strengthening community engagement from various social backgrounds and professions, and reaffirming the importance of a sense of ownership towards the direction of urban development.
"By raising the standards of organization in line with global issues, this festival also voices Jakarta's role on the international level as a visionary and future-oriented city," she explained.
She added this festival is not an ordinary festival. Because all the ideas or concepts from various elements of society involved will be gathered and processed into several policy briefs that will serve as input and considerations for the Jakarta Government in developing the Jakarta Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) 2025-2029 that is currently underway.
"May this become a platform that bridges ideas, aspirations, and cross-sector collaboration in realizing Jakarta as a resilient, innovative, and sustainable global city for future generations," she explained.
As information, the Jakarta Future Festival 2025 will take a more participatory, collaborative, and inclusive approach. This is different from last year's event at Lapangan Banteng, which focused more on the socialization of planning documents.
Each event is designed to reach various layers of society and educational backgrounds relevantly and contextually, thus the public can better understand their roles and contributions to the development of the city.
This also features entertaining music and arts performances, as part of efforts to create a pleasant and accessible shared space. Residents can enjoy performances from top artists and musicians from the country for free.
This is open to all groups, thereby strengthening the organizers' commitment to making this festival inclusive, vibrant, and a shared event.
