City Uses KLB Funds to Build Jakarta

Jakarta Provincial Government is focusing on developing Jakarta. One of the focuses is in transportation sector to reduce traffic congestion in Jakarta.

KLB and TOD can be used to develop Jakarta

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung said in addition to using the APBD, development in Jakarta will also be run in various ways. Among them are by using the Building Floor Coefficient (KLB) compensation fund and the development of Transit Oriented Development (TOD).

"KLB and TOD can be used to develop Jakarta," Pramono said.

Pramonk emphasized that he would continue various good programs that had been carried out by the previous governor. Pramono also admitted that development in the transportation sector, especially the opening of new Transjabodetabek routes, did use the regional budget.

The extention of Transjabodetabek service aims to encourage residents using public transportation.

"Transjabodetabek is honestly a burden," Pramono added.

However, Pramono continued that the previously opened Transjabodetabek routes received high enthusiasm from the public. Those are Transjabodetabek route PIK 2-Blok M, Alam Sutera-Blok M, and Bogor-Blok M.

"Thanks to the Agency Head for realizing the routes that have high demand," he continued.

According to him, Transjabodetabek's new route is not only make the mobility easier, but also cut the transportation costs.

"People were surprised to hear the Blok M-Bogor fare was only Rp 3,500," he said.

Pramono asserted Jakarta Provicial Government is about to extend the Jaklingko coverage to the buffer areas.
