Jakarta Provincial Government through Regional Development Planning Board (Bappeda) is about to hold Jakarta Future Festival 2025: Collaborate to Elevate! on June 13-15, 2025 at Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM), Cikini, Menteng, Central Jakarta.

Jakarta Bappeda's Acting Head of the Regional Research and Innovation Center, Arimbi Putik Apsari, said that this is the second year of the Jakarta Future Festival after previously being held at Lapangan Banteng in December 2024.

Deputy Director of Karsa City Lab, William Reynold, explained that the Jakarta Future Festival 2025 is created to respond to three strategic moments: (1) Preparation of the Jakarta Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) 2025–2030, (2) Jakarta approaching its 500th anniversary, and (3) preparation of plans for Jakarta as one of the 20 Global Cities in the world.
"This is a form of Jakarta's commitment to building a lively and inclusive public discussion space. We raised the theme Collaborate to Elevate as an open invitation for all parties to make real contributions to city development," he explained.
The festival will present six main types of activations during the three days of implementation, namely, Talks and Discussions, Community Activations, Idea Exhibitions, Creative Installations, Creative Market, Entertainment Showcases.
There will be more than 300 collaborators, 50 discussion topics, 40 community activations, 203 speakers, and 11 international speakers. As a form of cross-era reflection and contribution to city development, previous Jakarta governors such as Sutiyoso, Fauzi Bowo, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, and Anies Baswedan will also attend the festival.
The first day of the festival will present a Special Talk with Gita Wirjawan (Endgame), Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Aireen Omar and Head of Jakarta Bappeda, Atika Nur Rahmania, who will discuss the future of Jakarta. Other discussions will also involve figures such as Hadi Ismanto, Hana Al-Rashid, Andhyta F Utami, and academics from various universities.
Community activations activities are learning sign language, silent book reading, walking tours, and Jakarta song reviews with Lade Manino. On the entertainment side, the festival will feature performances by JKT48, Efek Rumah Kaca, Candra Darusman, Warna, The Massive, Jakarta Moving, Sore, Fajar Idol, and Sabrina.
Visitors can interact with the interactive map of the city, convey ideas or direct input on the development of the Jakarta area. It means that citizen participation is an integral part of city planning.
