As many as 40 cadre of posyandu from eight districts, participated the Interpersonal Communication Orientation training held by Central Jakarta Health Sub-agency and TP PKK, on June 17-20, 2025.

Central Jakarta TP PKK Chairwoman, Witri Yenny Arifin, explained the activity teaches cadres about how to communicate well and effective while giving service to residents.

"Posyandu cadre communication will give strategic role while giving service or information to the mothers who have babies to be pro active in focusing on their babies," she explained.
Witri is optimistic that this activity will strengthen the cadre capacity to deliver information and education about health, especially detecting and reducing stunting.
"Hopefully the posyandu cadre will be able to deliver information more effective, persuasive, and empathetic," she added.
Meanwhile, Central Jakarta Health Sub-agency's Community Health Section Head, Carla Wuwungan, stated the KAP orientation for Posyandu cadres aims to improve the cadres' ability to communicate effectively, providing understanding and basic skills regarding the principles of interpersonal communication.
"This training will encourage cadres to become agents of health behavior change in the community through an appropriate interpersonal communication approach," she stated.
