No Minimum Education Required to Be Transjakarta Driver

Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” T. Purnama asked the management of PT Transjakarta wiping out the driver’s requirement of having graduate from Senior High School (SMA). This aims to give a chance to other drivers who wants to become Transjakarta Bus Crew.

The most important thing is competent to drive a bus well

Ahok acknowledged that is no need higher requirement to be Transjakarta driver. Thus, he allows whoever from any background graduate to become Transjakarta’s driver.

“I won’t give tough things to anyone who wants to be a driver must have high school certificate, non sense. The most important thing is competent to drive a bus well. Anyway, many of minivan driver were not graduate from Elementary school,” he expressed at City Hall, Friday (6/26).

City Supports Cooperation Between Go-Jek and Transjakarta

With attention to the matter, the issue had been conveyed to Antonius NS Kosasih as the Director of PT Transjakarta. Ahok added, the keys of being a good driver are patient and skill.

“I won’t hear any stigma that drivers must have high school certificate rolling among public anymore. I have no problem with that,” he uttered.
