28 Betawi Art Painters Exhibited at City Hall

Jakarta Vice Governor, Rano Karno opened a solo exhibition of Samadi Adam's paintings themed 'From Betawi to Jakarta' at City Hall's Pendopo, Monday (6/23). There are 28 paintings are exhibited from June 23-30, 2025.

Legislator Supports Betawi Cultural Preservation Through Pesta Budaya Taman SariRano added that Samadi's work of Betawi theme has the character of cultural spirit. That is why Samadi has been invited around the world to show off his work.
Rano continued this Betawi painting exhibition is firstly held at City Hall, but it will not be last. He promised to provide similar exhibition in the future.
Meanwhile, Samadi Adam admitted he began his Betawi painting themes 45 years ago. His works have been exhibited around the world such as Amsterdam, New York, Boston and various cities in Sweden, Switzerland, Belgium and France.
Right after this exhibition, three of his paintings will be handed over and displayed in Jakarta Vice Governor Office.
