Rano Karno Opens Bung’s Market 2025 at Tugu Proklamasi

Jakarta's Deputy Governor, Rano Karno, officially opened Bung's Market 2025 at Tugu Proklamasi, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Sunday (6/29).

We want to know how they photograph Bung Karno

According to him, Bung's Market is a form of young people's creativity in celebrating Bung Karno Month. This event is held to commemorate President Soekarno's struggle, especially when he read the Pancasila on June 1, 1945.

"We want to know how they photograph Bung Karno. This is a form of freedom of expression, of course with our guidelines," he expressed.

He also admitted to being surprised by the completeness of the collection of books about Bung Karno presented at the event.

"It's not easy to borrow or gather those books in one place. But, this is done with full responsibility," he explained.

He added, Bung's Market also hosts various activities such as dance performances and marching band shows by the Jakarta Drum Corps.

"We are happy because June in Jakarta is not only synonymous with Bung Karno but also with various activities. For instance, today there is the Jakarta International Marathon with nearly 31,000 participants. This has never happened before. I said, next year we must aim for 50,000 participants," he stated.
