City Repairs Several Road Sections

Jakarta Provincial Government through Bina Marga Agency keeps repairing roads in various strategic points spread in five administration areas for the sake of road user's comfort.

Repairs are made to improve the quality of infrastructure and reduce the risk of accidents due to damaged roads.

Jakarta Bina Marga Agency Head, Heru Suwondo said stages of road improvement/repair work using rapid setting concrete.

4,235 Damaged Roads in North Jakarta Repaired

He explained that the work starts every night at 10 PM. The stage starts with the breaking and cleaning that took place from 11 PM to 2 AM. After that, the casting process is carried out from 2 AM to 4 AM, then continued with the closing of the area using tarpaulin at 4 AM.

Residents are advised to be more careful between 6 AM and 10 AM due to a potential for traffic congestion of the road paving process.

"The work is run in the evening to avoid traffic congestion. It is hoped the road closure is opened again at 1 PM," he said, Tuesday (7/1).

Jakarta Transportation Agency Head, Syafrin Liputo appealed to the public to avoid under repair roads, obey traffic signs and directions from officers in the field, and remain careful when driving, especially in the morning.

"The government hopes for cooperation and understanding from all residents to create safe and smooth traffic in Jakarta," he stated.
