Most of the repaired roads are pothole-ridden and bumpy due to heavy rainfall or flooding

North Jakarta Road and Bridge Section Head, Budi Cahyo Wardoyo said road repairs were done daily by personnel from six sub-districts.

"Most of the repaired roads are pothole-ridden and bumpy due to heavy rainfall or flooding. However, they are also triggered by factors such as age, heavy vehicles, and excavation projects," he expressed, Friday (5/8).

He added residents who have information about damaged roads to inform his team via social media channels, JAKI app, or local government officials so that it can be addressed promptly.

"Sweeping of damaged roads continues to be intensified to minimize accident incidents and so on," he asserted.

The repair received appreciation from one of the locals in Cilincing, Widyawati (31).

She assessed, damage is often seen on Jalan Marunda and Jalan Raya Cilincing due to the passing heavy vehicles.

"Of course, this repair can smoothen traffic flow and minimize traffic accident. So, road users feel safe and comfortable," she said.
