Illegal Parking in Rawamangun and Pondok Kopi Controlled

Dozens of vehicles illegally parked in Rawamangun and Pondok Kopi, East Jakarta were controlled by joint personnel.

East Jakarta Transportation's Operation Section Head, Riki Erwinda said the controlling was run in front of Jalan Sunan Giri, Rawamangun and Jalan Raya Pondok Kopi.

"We controlled 33 vehicles, namely seven on Jalan Sunan Giri and 26 on Jalan Raya Pondok Kopi," he said, Wednesday (7/9).

Intensify Illegal Parking Control with Collaboration

Riki added that today's controlling involved 35 joint personnel of Transportation Sub-agency, Satwil Lantas, Garnisun and POM TNI.

"15 cars were ticketed by police, eight motorcycles were grounded to East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency Office, and 10 motorcycles were flattened," he added.

He continued that strict sanctions would be given to drivers caught parking their vehicles in places not designated for them to provide a deterrent effect.

According to him, similar operation will remain be provided to ensure road users obey the regulation.

"Illegal parking surely disturbs public order and causes traffic jam," he admitted.
