Channel on Jalan Dharmawangsa XI Being Dredged

The Kehadiran Baru Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Implementation Unit, South Jakarta is dredging the water channel on Jalan Dharmawangsa XI, RT 01/01, Pulo Urban Village.

Hope it can be finished today

Kebayoran Baru Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Sutopo said, the dredging was conducted along a length of 280 meters amd involved 10 personnel assisted by PPSU members.

"It is actually finished but flooded during the heavy rain yesterday. Through monitoring results, blockages of mud and trash were found in several parts of the U-ditch," he expressed, Thursday (7/10).

To optimize the work, one unit of excavator was also deployed to the location. "Hope it can be finished today," he hoped.

He also hoped that the channel could accommodate water in large quantities in the rainy season.

"Hopefully, there won't be any more floods during heavy rain," he hoped.

Pulo Urban Village Head, Sumarni added, The road often floods because water overflows from the channel.

"We urge residents not to litter into the channel. Please keep the area clean, including the vendors on Jalan Dharmawangsa XI," he stated.
