Pramono: Bring Personal Vehicles Every Wednesday, Civil Servants will Face Strict Actions

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung, reiterated his commitment to promoting the use of public transportation for Jakarta civil servants.

If it can then be found, I will take firm action

He emphasized that the policy requiring civil servants to use public transportation every Wednesday must be adhered to.

"I've already asked the Human Resources Bureau to make an announcement. No one is allowed to bring personal vehicles to the office," he asserted, at Jakarta City Hall, Friday (7/11).

He will even take strict action against civil servants caught bringing their private vehicles and parking them around the office area.

"If it can then be found, I will take firm action," he asserted.

This mandatory public transportation policy aims to reduce traffic congestion. Pramono also repeatedly encouraged them to set an example for residents in using mass transit.

Even he continues to follow the rules he has set. Every Wednesday, he always uses public transportation to run his activities.

Hopefully, this effort by the Jakarta Government would have a significant impact on traffic jam and air quality improvement.
