Residents Enthusiastically Enjoy the Car Free Day in Kebayoran Lama

Residents enthusiastically enlivened the car free day held on Jalan Sultan Iskandar Muda up to Jalan Arteri Pondok Indah, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta.

The event was held up to 10 AM

The event provided art cultural show and up to free health check by South Jakarta PMI.

South Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar admitted it was the first car free day held in Kebayoran Lama District this year.

"Residents looked happy to attend this event. Previously, it was held on Jalan Sisingamangaraja, Kebayoran Baru. But it was not quite successful since the location near with the car free day on Jalan Sudirman. So the event is moved here," he admitted, Sunday (7/13).

Anwar said an evaluation will be held for car free day implementation in city level.

"It can be run every month here, depends on the evaluation result," he said.

Kebayoran Lama Districy Head, Iwan K Santoso, explained the event was enlivened by joint exercise, marching band, Ondel-ondel dance, coloring competition, earthquake, flood, fire and rescue education, health service, administration, population and licensing services.

"The event was held up to 10 AM. Thanks to the residents and parties for enlivening the event," he explained.

Meanwhile, South Jakarta PMI Chairman, Abdul Haris stated his side provided free blood sugar, blood pressure and blood type check services. The results can be known immediately.

"We served 70 people today," he stated.

Moreover, his side also prepared medical officer and ambulance to anticipate unwanted things during the car free day.
