North Jakarta Mayor's Office Holds Blood Donation to Celebrate City's Anniversary

The North Jakarta City administration held a humanitarian blood donation event on the Yos Sudarso Hall on the 1st and 2nd floors, local Mayor's Office.

This is part of North Jakarta people' concern for one another

The blood donation in celebration of Jakarta's 498th anniversary was participated by State Civil Apparatus (ASN), Individual Other Service Providers (PJLP), and the general public.

According to him, blood donation is a positive and beneficial activity, especially for those in need.

"This is part of North Jakarta people' concern for one another. Even, the benefits are not only felt by the blood recipients but also by the donors," he expressed, Wednesday (6/18).

He assessed that not everyone is willing to donate their blood, so donors are often referred to as heroes without medals. They donate blood without expecting any reward or out of obligation.

"All the donors today are very enthusiastic. Insya Allah (God willing), every kindness given will turn into blessings for everyone," he added.

"The target for today is 150 bags of blood. Each donor will go through a process, they will be screened for their health first, such as checking blood pressure and hemoglobin," he added.

According to him, this humanitarian action is realized through collaboration with North Jakarta Branch Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) and North Jakarta City Health Clinic.

"We also have a medical check-up for free here," he added.

One of the PJLP employees, Galih admitted that he regularly participated in blood donation events held at the local Mayor's Office every year.

"Alhamdulillah (thank God), my health screening results are good and I can donate. I feel refreshed after donating blood, and of course, I'm even more motivated to work," he admitted.
