City to Build 2,543 Flats in Capital

To accelerate residents’ relocation from river bank, Jakarta Provincial Government will build tens of thousands flat units (Rusunawa) in capital.

We will use this year City Budget to build 2, 543 flats. Currently, the project still in auction process

On upcoming August, Jakarta Provincial Government will hold ground breaking of 21 flats in 15 locations. Moreover, Jakarta Housing and Government Building Department will also build a total of 2,543 flat units in 8 locations.

Jakarta Housing and Government Building Department Head, Ika Lestari Adji told, besides using government investment participation (PMP) trough Provincial-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro), the 2543 flat units will be built using 2015 City Budget.

21 Thousand Units Flat Ready to Construct In Capital

"We will use this year City Budget to build 2,543 flats. Currently, the project still in auction process," he told, Monday (6/29).

According to her, the project will be started after Eid Ul-Fitr with the budget of Rp 300 billion.

"We targeted to start the project after Eid Ul-Fitr," he explained.

The 2,543 flat units will be divided into some locations such as 2 towers with 524 units in KS Tubun, 2 towers with 384 units in Rawa Buaya, a tower with 235 units in Semper, 4 blocks with 300 contains of 300 units in Cakung Barat.

"Then, 4 blocks with 400 units in Rawa Bebek, 3 blocks with 300 units in Jatinegara Kaum, 2 blocks with 200 units on Jalan Bekasi Raya and a block with 200 units in Pinus Elok," she told.
