Officially Closed, Jakarta Fair Yields Rp 7.3 T in Revenue

Jakarta Deputy Governor, Rano Karno officially closed the Jakarta Fair Kemayoran (JFK) 2025 at JIExpo Arena, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Sunday (7/13) evening.

This indicates that economically, Jakarta is in good condition

The closing event was held at the Pusat Niaga Building and marked the end of the annual event that lasted nearly a month.

"Alhamdulillah (thank God), after nearly a month, today we officially closed the Jakarta Fair. Amazing," he expressed.

He stated that this year's Jakarta Fair recorded nearly six million visitors. Economically, the event also exceeded expectations with a total transaction value worth Rp 7.3 trillion.

"The value exceeds the target. This indicates that economically, Jakarta is in good condition," he expressed.

He hoped that the same event could be bigger and more lively, in celebration of Jakarta's 500th anniversary.

"Jakarta Fair must be more lively than before. On behalf of the Jakarta Government, I thank all visitors," he expressed.

PT Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Director, Karuna Murdaya added, Jakarta Fair 2025 is a symbol of the spirit in promoting the competitiveness of local products to the global market, as well as a driver of national economic development through sustainable innovation.

"And also serves as a strategic platform in the development of the MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition) sector, which directly impacts job creation, cultural promotion, and strengthening national identity," he explained.

There were 2,550 tenants with a total of 1,550 booths, and about 50 percent of them come from MSMEs. This event also employed tens of thousands of workers from various sectors.

"This proves that Jakarta Fair is not just an exhibition, but also a real-driving force for the economy," he added.

Karuna also expressed his gratitude to the Jakarta Government, sponsors, security personnel from the army (TNI) and police, participants, and all visitors who contributed to the success of this year's Jakarta Fair.

"Indeed, there may still be shortcomings. Therefore, on behalf of the committee and management of JIExpo, we sincerely apologize," he utterred.

He hoped that Jakarta Fair would continue to be a national pride and remembered as the biggest promotion and entertainment event in Southeast Asia.
