Jakarta Deputy Governor Rano Karno directly inspected the fire location on Jalan Kutilang, RT 06/02, Bukit Duri, Tebet, South Jakarta, Sunday (7/20).

His party had provided various forms of assistance to the fire survivors, including basic necessities, clothing, food, school supplies, and compensation for families who lost a family member.
For those whose houses had burned down, he proposed to Baznas Bazis to conduct house repairs so that residents could enjoy their lives again as before.
"With this incident, we call on all segments of society to be more vigilant and minimize fires," he explained.
As an anticipation step and to minimize fires in Jakarta, his party would optimize the movement of portable fire extinguishers (APAR) ownership in each RT in Jakarta. Additionally, regular monitoring of electrical installations in rented houses, boarding houses, and business premises.
Because nearly 90 percent of the fires occurring in Jakarta were caused by electrical short circuits. Then, almost all were due to human negligence. For instance, forgetting to unplug the phone charger, or other negligence factors.
