Latumenten Flyover Construction to Begin in August

Jakarta Bina Marga Agency is about to construct new flyover on Jalan Dr Latumenten, West Jakarta this year. The project will start in August 2025 for the next two years.

Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-group of Planning, Mahendra said the construction of this new flyover is expected to make it more convenient for people to access the road to support various activities.

He explained that the flyover construction is planned to be carried out along 380 meters from the south to the north side of Grogol Station.

"The flyover will be constructed in a closed area for public transportation such as Transjakarta, Jaklingko, and the commuter line (KRL). A Transjakarta bus stop will also be built on top of it," he explained, Monday (7/21).

Mahendra stated that private vehicles, such as motorcycles and cars, will pass through the upper side of the flyover. Meanwhile, pedestrians from south to north will be able to access the pedestrian bridge. He added that in addition to Jalan Dr Latumenten, construction will also take place on Jalan Makaliwe in Grogol Urban Village.

"Flyover construction will also feature a paid skywalk using a tap card just like the HI Roundabout skywalk," he added.

He said that during construction it would definitely cause traffic jams.

"Socialization will be run by Jakarta Bina Marga Agency and West Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency to make it smoothly," he stated.
