Ahead of Homecoming, Bus Drivers' Health Scheduled to Be Checked Up

Approaching homecoming season and Idul Fitri, the Jakarta Health Department is scheduled to check the bus drivers' health who will serve the homecomers heading to outside Jakarta. Not only that, the health posts for homecomers would also be set up in several bus terminals. 

Bus drivers will undergo a medical-check up in Pulo Gadung, Kampung Rambutan, Pulo Gebang, Tanjung Priok and Kalideres Terminals

“We already held a ceremony in the Health Ministry. Bus drivers will undergo a medical-check up in Pulo Gadung, Kampung Rambutan, Pulo Gebang, Tanjung Priok and Kalideres Terminals,” said Head of Jakarta Health Department, Koesmedi Priharto at City Hall, Tuesday (6/30).

East Jakarta to Hold Free Medical Check-Up

He expressed the medical-check up is including urine and drug test. It is slated begin on D-7 until D+7 of Idul Fitri.

“The service will be focused on bus drivers who will serve homecomers,” he stressed.

Priharto furthered, the medical result could be known on that day. If there are found unhealty drivers or consuming drugs, they will stop operate.

Besides bus drivers, some health posts would be set up in some terminals for homecomers. Each post has five medical personnel. 

“Homecomers can check their health first before leaving for homecoming,” he told.

He added that such posts will be set up in conjunction with homecoming post owned by Jakarta Transportation Department, Satpol PP, and police.

“So, each terminal will have posts from joint personnel,” he disclosed.
